New Student Advising and Registration

A student group leader goes over the day's schedule with new students, all of them rocking blue WVU Tech t-shirts like a boss.

Congratulations on your acceptance to WVU Tech!

Here's what you need to know:

1. We're offering both virtual appointments (Mondays and Wednesdays) and in-person appointments (Tuesdays and Thursdays).

2. You must only choose ONE appointment - either virtual or in-person (you will see both options in your initial confirmation email).

3. Both ways to meet with us are very effective, so choose what makes you feel most comfortable.

The Process:

To ensure you're on the right path to graduation, your next step is to sign up for a new student advising and registration session. You'll receive a confirmation email immediately after you RSVP above, this email will contain two links (one virtual, one in-person) that direct you to available appointment dates and times. This appointment is where you'll connect with an academic advisor to discuss your degree plan, go over your career goals and sign up for the right classes. You can also learn about the services we offer to help you with the transition to college and beyond. You will receive an additional confirmation email with specific details regarding your advising and registration session leading up to the date and time you selected.

If you're a newly admitted student, make sure you're following the steps available on our admitted students page, and be sure to claim your MIX email account as soon as possible.

Note: New Student Registration is only for admitted students. If you have not been admitted yet, you can apply here.
