The Start of Your New Journey
Golden Bear Welcome Days are designed to register new students for their college classes and get you (and your family) familiar with campus, services and more. It's the best way to make sure we're all starting that first day off on the right foot.

The Process:
To ensure you're on the right path to graduation, your next step is to sign up for a Golden Bear Welcome Day. You'll receive a confirmation email immediately after you RSVP above. This appointment is where you'll connect with an academic advisor to discuss your degree plan, go over your career goals and sign up for the right classes. You can also learn about the services we offer to help you with the transition to college and beyond. You will receive an additional confirmation email with specific details regarding your Golden Bear Welcome Day leading up to the date and time you selected.
For admitted students, Golden Bear Welcome Day is a great opportunity to get
to know campus, find out about campus services that will help you along
the way, pick up your new official WVU Tech student ID - and meet new students
just like you. (If you have not yet been admitted, apply today).
If you're a newly admitted student, make sure you're following the steps available on our admitted students page, and be sure to claim your MIX email account as soon as possible.
Be Advised: If you have earned college credit via college courses, Advanced Placement (AP) examinations, International Baccalaureate (IB) courses or College Level Examination Program (CLEP), please make sure to provide us with transcripts/test scores that reflect this prior to registration.
For parents and families, it's the absolute best way to learn about where your student will be learning. You'll explore various campus departments, meet with the folks who will be helping your favorite student for the next four years and find helpful tips for making sure your student thrives as a Golden Bear.

only select one session - detailed schedule will be included in confirmation)
Check-in (Carter Hall or Life Sciences Building) - 8:00 a.m. (or) 12:30 p.m.
