Ohio residents directly admitted to approved majors may qualify for in-state tuition.
As the result of a special agreement, first-time freshmen or transfer students from Ohio who are directly admitted to certain majors can enroll at WVU Tech and pay in-state tuition rates.
You will receive the in-state tuition rate as long as you maintain renewal requirements or until the completion of an associate's or bachelor's degree – whichever comes first.
Students who lose eligibility have a limited time to appeal with the Vice President of Academic Affairs. If denied eligibility, out-of-state tuition and fees will be assessed and non-resident scholarships will not be reinstated.
All Four-Year Programs
You will be evaluated for the tuition benefit renewal at the end of each spring.
If you are not progressing in your approved tuition benefit major, you will be removed from the program and will have a limited time to appeal with the Vice President of Academic Affairs.
Students must:
Note: Majors offered at the WVU Institute of Technology and Potomac State College campuses may not qualify for reciprocity at WVU Morgantown. This includes change of campus students.
