One of our most popular ways to get a feel for campus is an individual campus visit. You and your family (or a friend) will explore campus, meet with members of the Golden Bear community and learn all about college life.

Our individual campus visits are hosted Monday-Friday at either 10:00 a.m. or 2:00 p.m. Give us at least 3 days notice and we'll get you on the schedule!

Tour Campus

Explore our academic buildings, laboratories, athletic facilities, dining hall, residence halls, library and more. You'll see the places where students work on design projects, where they conduct official student organization business and even where they take on esports competitions.

Meet with professors in your field

We'll give you one-on-one time with professors from the fields you're interested in. They'll answer all your questions and give you a better picture of what it means to be a student in their program - and the types of jobs you'll have a shot at when you earn that degree.

Stop in to see the coach

(Upon Your Request or by Request of the Coach)

Interested in playing for one of our 17 varsity athletic teams? We'll introduce you to the coach so you can find out more (and swap sports stories). They let you know all about the team, where they play and how you could get involved. Please make sure to inform us in advance of your tour if you need to visit with a coach.

Learn about financial aid

There's no denying it. Paying for college is the biggest - and sometimes scariest - part of picking the right school. During your visit, you'll have a chance to sit down with one of our dedicated financial aid counselors. They'll walk you through types of financial aid, how to apply for aid and any other money question you have*.

*Well, most money questions. They can't help you figure out how to buy that sweet new ride, but they can get you into a classroom seat.

Experience a college course

(Upon Your Request)

You'll have a chance to sit in on a real college course in a field that interests you. You'll get a feel for the kind of learning you'll experience and time to chat with current WVU Tech students. Plus, you won't even have to do the homework.

Grab a bite to eat

(Upon Your Request)

Lunch or dinner is on us in our Bears Den dining hall.

Learn about college life

Find out about living on campus versus commuting, the kind student clubs and organizations you can build, interesting research projects or just where to catch a good cup of coffee on campus. It's your time to really dig into Tech and see what being a Golden Bear can mean for you.
