One of our most popular ways to get a feel for campus is an individual campus visit.
You and your family (or a friend) will see campus for yourself, meet with members
of the campus community and learn all about college life.
Our individual campus visits are hosted Monday-Friday ONLY at either 10:00 a.m. or
2:00 p.m. Simply use our online
registration form to pick the date that works best for you. Give us at
least 3 days notice and we'll get you on the schedule.
During your visit, you'll have the opportunity to do the following:
Tour Campus
Explore our academic buildings, laboratories, athletic facilities, dining hall, residence
halls, library and more. You'll see the places where students work on design projects,
where they conduct official student organization business and even where they take
on esports competitions.
Meet with professors in your field
We'll give you one-on-one time with professors from the fields you're interested
in. They'll answer all your questions and give you a better picture of what it
means to be a student in their program - and the types of jobs you'll have a shot
at when you earn that degree.
Stop in to see the coach
Interested in playing for one of our 18 varsity athletic teams? We'll introduce you
to the coach so you can find out more (and swap sports stories). They let you know
all about the team, where they play and how you could get involved. Please make
sure to inform us in advance of your tour if you need to visit with a coach.
Learn the ins and outs of college financial aid
There's no denying it. Paying for college is the biggest - and sometimes scariest
- part of picking the right school. During your visit, you'll have a chance to
sit down with one of our dedicated financial aid counselors. They'll walk you through
types of financial aid, how to apply for aid and any other money question
you have*.
*Well, most money questions. They can't help you figure out how to buy that
sweet new ride, but they can get you into a classroom seat.
Experience a college course (Upon Your Request)
You'll have a chance to sit in on a real college course in a field that interests
you. You'll get a feel for the kind of learning you'll experience and time to chat
with current WVU Tech students. Plus, you won't even have to do the homework.
Grab a bite to eat
Lunch is on us in our Bears Den dining hall.
And more
Find out about living on campus versus commuting, the kind student clubs and organizations
you can build, interesting research projects or just where to catch a good cup
of coffee on campus. It's your time to really dig into Tech and see what being
a Golden Bear can mean for you.
