Let's explore
your new home away from home

Golden Bear Welcome Days are designed to get new students (and their families) familiar with campus, services and more. It's the best way to make sure we're all starting that first day off on the right foot.

The event will be hosted at the WVU Tech Administration and Extension building: 410 Neville St., Beckley, WV 25801.

Golden Bear Welcome Day

Golden Bear Welcome Day is you chance to explore campus, meet with key campus figures, figure out financial aid and more.

For admitted students, it's a great opportunity to get to know their new campus, find out about campus services that will help them along the way, pick up their new official WVU Tech student ID - and meet new students just like them. (If you have not yet been admitted, apply today). We also encourage students to sign up for their New Student Advising and Registration session before attending Golden Bear Welcome Day (it's not required, but it really helps).

For parents and families, it's the absolute best way to learn about where your student will be learning. You'll explore various campus departments, meet with the folks who will be helping your favorite student for the next four years and find helpful tips for making sure your student thrives as a Golden Bear.

We're hosting Golden Bear Welcome Days on the following Fridays: June 18, June 25, July 9, July 16 and August 6. Be sure to check out the day's schedule, and register for the Golden Bear Welcome Day that works for you!

See you soon, Golden Bears!

P.S. Please keep in mind that we're following COVID-19 safety guidelines for campus. Golden Bear Welcome Days are limited to 2 guests per student. Please be sure to bring a face covering for your visit.

And remember, students, this is one event in a three-part series to get you set up for your first day of college: New Student Advising and Registration (gets you signed up for the right classes), Golden Bear Welcome Day (introduces you to campus) and Orientation (deep-dive into everything you need on day one).
