Career and Technical Education Certification and Degree Seeking Students
The Department of Career and Technical Education provides opportunities for Industrial, Technical, Occupational Foods and Health Occupations teachers to meet State Department of Education certification requirements and pursue advanced professional development. Enrollment is limited to those currently employed as teachers in a career or technical education program area.
Career and Technical Education Certification Program – Major Code (049T)
NOTE: All first time applicants to the CTED Teacher Certification Program should use this option (049T) to expedite the initial admission process. The degree-seeking option/code will by used at a later date as directed by your advisor.
Step 1: Complete and submit the application for admission – be sure to identify as “non degree-seeking” on the application.
Step 2: Submit registration form from your regional teacher educator to the Office of Career and Technical Education through email to email@example.com.
Career and Technical Education Degree Seeking Program – Major Code (011T)
Step 1: Complete and submit the application for admission – be sure to identify as “first-time freshman or transfer” on the application.
Step 2: have your transcripts sent to the Office of Admissions:

Freshmen applicants – have your official high school transcript sent to the Admissions Office. If you’re a General Equivalency Degree (GED) or Test Assessing Secondary Completion (TASC) recipient, send an official score report directly to our office.
Transfer applicants – have your official transcript from each college or university attended sent to our Admissions Office. If you have earned less than 24 semester hours, please send an official copy of the high school transcript and ACT/SAT scores as well.
Step 3: Have your official ACT or SAT test scores sent to the Admissions Office. Our ACT code is 4536 and the SAT code is 5902.
Step 4: File your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Our code is 003827.
